The Greene County girls 4 X 100m relay team set a new Heart of Iowa Activities Conference record at the conference meet May 4 at Saydel High School. The all-senior team of Olivia Shannon, Kamryn Sanders, Natalie Heupel and Katrina Heupel placed first with a time of 51.24 seconds, a season best time and a HOIAC record.

Freshman Kaycee Pittman set a new school record in the 800m run, winning the race with a time of 2:29.30.
Pittman joined the Heupel sisters and Shannon for the 4 X 400m relay, claiming first place with a time of 4:14.59.

In the 4 X 200m relay, the all-senior team placed second with a time of 1:49.40.
Natalie Heupel won the 400m dash with a time of 1:02.42. Shannon placed second in the 200m dash in 26.95 seconds.
The sprint medley team of freshman Savannah Lansman, senior Bella Schroeder, Sanders and Katrina Heupel placed third in 1:57.15. The distance medley team of senior Alexa Peters, Schroeder, Lansman and sophomore Hailey Carman finished fourth in 4:52.87, while the shuttle hurdle relay of Schroeder, Peters, senior Gretah Kersey and freshman Nala Losee ran their season best time of 1:19.24, finishing in sixth place.
In field events, sophomore Payton Kokenge won the high jump, clearing the bar at 5-02. Freshman Lila Osterson placed sixth at 4-08.
Senior Emma Hoyle won the discus with a throw of 99’ 3.75”. Sophomore Emma Ewalt placed fifth with a throw of 91’ 1”.


Rams claimed second and third in the shot put, with sophomore Daniele Madsen throwing 35’ 1” for second place and Hoyle throwing 33’ 1” for third.
Kamryn Sanders placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 14’ 3/75”.
Roland-Story won the conference title with a team score of 150. Other team scores were RCM 131, Greene County 121, West Marshall 90.5, South Hamilton 85, Nevada 77, Saydel 44, and Perry 35.5.
